Think tank Centre for Cities are one of the key organisations looking at the ways that Government policy affects regions differently. They maintain a factsheet on over 60 cities in the UK, pulling in key stats to do with employment rates, where jobs are being created and what the metropolitan area looks like from a transport, air pollution and employment perspective.

In September, Centre for Cities published an analysis of the ways that Manchester had recovered from restricting and stimulating initiatives in response to coronavirus.
