Birmingham-based RMF Group includes a Construction Training Academy component, providing employment training for Rail, Construction and Health & Safety in the West Midlands. They offer three tracks for professional progression:

  1. Current and ex-offenders
  2. Professional qualifications for West Midlands residents
  3. Employment coaching for long-term unemployed

Training in custody

RMF's CFO3 Programme is designed to prepare current prisoners for re-integration into society. Funded by His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) and part-funded by the European Social Fund, CFO3 gives ex-offenders the best change to become economically active and mitigate the key reasons of reoffending. Partners with Ixon in central England, and Ingeus in the Midlands.

Training in the community

A second track involves partnership with Solihull College who deliver training for vocational careers in the Construction industry. All courses complete in professional qualifications and take place at their facility in Highgate, B12 (location on Google Maps).

Re-boot for long-term unemployed

Fresh Start is a third track for people who have been long-term unemployed. RMF coordinate with third sector organisations to offer a range of support overcoming other barriers into work. Supports people to gain the skills, knowledge and understanding required to gain and sustain meaningful employment. Participants can also expect to receive financial help for purchasing PPE and help with some transportation costs.
