Through the programme, participants gain practical work experience by working in the bakery's cafe, and also have the opportunity to work on bespoke cake orders. The program also offers support with job applications and interviews, as well as ongoing mentoring and coaching to ensure the women have the tools they need to succeed in the workplace.

By providing a supportive and nurturing environment, Luminary Bakery is able to help ex-offenders overcome the barriers to employment they often face, such as a lack of skills and experience, low self-esteem, and a criminal record. The organisation's approach has been successful in helping these women build a better future for themselves and their families by providing a pathway to stable employment and financial independence.
