BlueGreen Alliance aims to creating a meeting point for these interests, acting as a coalition of labor unions and environmental advocacy groups. BGA has been around since 2006 when the United Steelworkers and Sierra Club formed an unusual alliance. Now led by Jason Walsh, BGA are providing a vital, coherent voice to ensure that shifts like the Inflation Reduction Act also benefit workers affected by plant closures and reduced hours.
