La Colombe Coffee Roasters was founded in 1994 by Todd Carmichael and JP Iberti in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The company quickly gained recognition for its high-quality, ethically sourced coffee and focus on traditional European roasting techniques - very much ahead of the arrival third wave specialty coffee in the United States.
